Journey through transformation to life beyond.
(At this difficult time during the Coronavirus, I am happy to suggest, at no cost, ways in which you can use Metamorphosis at home with an easy to use protocol. Email [email protected] for details.)
Just as a seed creates a tree, a tadpole becomes a frog, a butterfly emerges from a chrysalis, each of us, no matter our age or ability, has an inner wisdom, allowing us to create better versions of ourselves. The hands, feet and head have reflex points relating to areas on the spine. By gently manipulating or holding these areas, patterns that are holding us back can be released and relaxed allowing transformation to begin.
Metamorphosis is a "self-creating" art that embraces the ability to create a better version of one's present self, whether physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually or behaviourally. While this philosophy is hard to describe in words, the act of 'doing' is simple with potentially profound results for any age (from the fetus in the womb, infants, children, adults to the elderly) and any ability. Certain circumstances may slow or speed the results, but always a positive result will occur. As the name implies, a transformation takes place from within,“a transmutation into a higher substance”.
Robert St. John, who realized that the reflex points along the feet, hands and head relate to that of the spine and could actually get to the source or to the crux of an issue, understood that "metamorphosis transforms at the most primary level, that of the principle of life within us. Metamorphosis does not “cure”; it enables us to create a different attitude towards life, and it is this, which alters our troubles, we cease to create illness." (Robert St. John)
Very popular in the United Kingdom and Australia, Metamorphosis is making its way to North America. Always a bit behind the East it seems, we, in the West, are now beginning to accept the intelligence behind CTM (Chinese Traditional Medicine), Acupuncture, Reflexology, Reiki, reflex points, meridians, chakras, marma points and other terms that were once just thought to be so much “woo woo". Metamorphosis actually morphed from Reflexology to Pre-Natal Therapy in the 1950s to finally the term used today. St. John continued to use his approach with resounding success until his death in the late 1990's. Many others have followed in his path to this day with continued success. One of his students, Gaston St. Pierre created his own form, calling it the Metamorphic Technique. Regardless, the essence of these philosophies are very similar, both recognizing the importance of Robert St. John's discovery. While I have studied both modalities, I have found a greater connection with the originator's philosophy and practice Metamorphosis.
Robert St. John became interested and cognoscente of the importance of factors affecting us before conception, at conception and throughout the gestation period (although Robert St. John considered the latter to be secondary). This is the time line that we are addressing. In fact, the time before time. This pattern or road map that was set down in the 'very beginning' can continue to affect us throughout our lifetime. If you are feeling stuck, ill, out of sorts in anyway, or if you have a child who is anxious, unsettled or hindered in one way or another, either seriously so or simply needing a sense of calm, or if you are pregnant or planning a family, Metamorphosis may be the simple tool that could help kick start the energy, within, to help you, or in fact your whole family to move forward.
Wonderfully beneficial to infants, children of any age and adults; for those who have serious complaints or just feel the need to feel better or feel better about themselves; especially for families, who in time can help "treat" themselves and each other, Metamorphosis is an easy, non-invasive approach to creating a life well-lived.
